Entrepreneur Magazine featured Raleigh Mayor Nancy McFarlane in their article “What It Takes to Build a Startup City: Meet 7 Mayors Promoting Entrepreneurship.”
The article highlighted Mayor McFarlane’s recent hire of Raleigh’s very first Innovation & Entrepreneur Manager. Derrick Minor, the former Director of Downtown Development for the Downtown Raleigh Alliance, will track the needs of local business owners to retain companies in Raleigh and help them grow.
The Mayor also led Raleigh in support of the HQ-Citrix Accelerator, a program providing mentorship, startup coaching, and workspace to ten early-stage startups with a primary focus on developing innovative technologies.
