Nancy McFarlane: Thank you to the Council of State of North Carolina for having the wisdom, foresight and courage to create an incredible park on the Dorothea Dix property. Our children and their children and their children will thank them.
As a park, the Dix property will not only be a a source of pride for our city and the entire state, but also an economic generator. Thanks also to everyone that called, emailed and lent your voice to this cause. This is what the people asked for, and will enjoy for years to come.
