This week, March 7-13, celebrates Women in Construction! Women in Construction week brings together all of the 5,500 women that are a part of the National Association for Women in Construction to raise awareness about the opportunities for women in the construction field. I was able to be on hand to present the proclamation the Raleigh Chapter of NAWIC.

Currently, women make up only 10% of the construction industry in the United States, but that number has been steadily rising each year for the past decade. It is great to see so many intelligent women celebrating their emerging force in the industry, and I was happy to be invited to share in the fun!
